- 1). Create an account with Myspace (www.myspace.com). You will need to sign up with a real e-mail address to activate your account in order to use all the features on the site.
- 2). Choose a catchy display name. This could be your real name, the name of your company or even the name of your blog. Choose a photo that is relevant to your blog. These are the first two things potential friends see when sending a friend request.
- 3). Edit your profile. Keep it relevant to your blog. If the blog is personal, it would be appropriate to add a bio on yourself. If your blog is more business-oriented, enter some information about your business, what you do, what you provide, careers available or anything else that is relevant and interesting to viewers. Don't forget to add a link to your official website.
- 4). Join groups relevant to your blog niche. For example, if your blog is about animals, joining an animal lover group would be a smart choice.
- 5). Begin making friend requests to people that you believe would be interested in your blog. Send them private messages or comments when they become your friend and ask them to view your blog if they are interested in your niche. Be sure to include a link or ask them to contact you if they would like the link.
- 6). Update your status message daily with information on updates as well as a link to your website.
- 7). Post bulletins regularly when you have updated your blog. Do not constantly post a link to your blog if you have not updated it. This is pointless and could cost you friends.
