How to Splice Wires in a Confined Space
- 1). Strip the end of your wires with an insulation stripper. Strip about one inch of wire insulator from the end of each wire.
- 2). Twist the stripped ends of the wires together.
- 3). Cut off about half an inch from the ends of the twisted wires.
- 4). Cap the linkage with a wire nut or a compression sleeve. If using a compression sleeve, crush the sleeve with the insulation stripper after it is affixed to the twisted wires.
