It is hard to read a person's mind, especially when they give you mixed signals.
What makes it even harder to read, is when you are not around your ex as much anymore, maybe not even at all.
You see, your ex may have been driven away by some things that you did or just for some space; but a lot of the times people break up with someone not because they hate their partner.
Most of the times a breakup occurs to allow both people time to make the necessary changes, and more likely than not your ex was just needing time to see you change.
Here is how you can know if your ex still loves you...
Do they spend a lot of money on you? Do they take you out and get you things, just for the hell of it? Normally people would not do this, if they had no more feelings for you; but your ex cares about you and still wants to see you happy.
He/she does not want to see you ever without something, so they still stick around and try to help you out whenever they can.
Do they call you up, just to see what you are doing and to hear your voice? Do they seem to want to talk, even if there isn't much to talk about? Your ex definitely loves you, if they are calling you up just to hear you, because they miss you.
When someone is serious about a break up they wouldn't bother to even talk to you ever again.
Do they always talk about the past, and how good it was? Do they remind you of the good times, and always reminisce around you? You see, your ex is obviously not over you, because he/she is trying hard to get you to have the good feelings of your ex again.
They are clearly trying to indicate that they still have feelings for you, but may be scared to have a more direct approach.
