Callaway RAZR Fit Driver Is an Abundance of Technology
I am going to have to say the Callaway RAZR Fit driver is amazing, I know it smokes the Fit Xtreme as I own both, same shaft, different hit, the Fit is 30-40 yards better and sounds a million times better!!
My initial impression was that it didn't seem that different. But then I hit it. Wow... It gives you feedback, and it's forgiving. It the first Callaway driver to offer adjustable weights and a rotating hosel. Users can change the center of gravity (CG) with the sole weights and adjust the face angle using three hosel settings. The face has been redesigned to save weight (four grams) and improve off-center ball speed.
The Callaway RAZR Fit is an abundance of technology. So much so that one may think that you're describing a car yet most of it is very simple to use and understand. Streamlined Surface Technology- aerodynamic contours reduce energy loss from drag during the downswing by 14% compared to its cousin, the Callaway RAZR Hawk driver, which creates higher impact speeds for added distance. If I want to contact the sand first, I would place the golf ball later in my swing, or farther left. I like the see a golf ball position just inside the left heel for most greenside bunker shots.
At address it appears smaller than its 458cc size really is which appeals to me in that you're not swinging the club and relying on its size to bail you out. Instead, it makes you think about hitting a golf shot and not hitting the ball. It almost appears that the Callaway RAZR Fit Driver [http://www.onlinegolfhead.com/discount-Callaway-Razr-Fit-Driver-For-Sale-415.html] just 'falls off the back' which sounds bad but it helps the biggest club in your bag glide through the air towards that unsuspecting golf ball sitting on the tee.
From the Pros:
Alvaro Quiros- "I was very happy to see how you can control the shape of the ball without big changes"
Ernie Els- "It's pretty easy, I think people will really enjoy it and it's going to benefit their games in the long run"
Stuart Appleby- "The instant feedback is huge for me. You can set the discount golf clubs up to work with what you got on the range and take that to the course."
If you don't have the RAZR Fit on your short list to hit for 2013 then do yourself a favor and go hit it. You may even discover that performance over paint really isn't just hype or a catchy marketing phrase.
