Sprite & Tequila Drinks
- For the most basic combination, a shot of tequila is added to a glass filled with ice and topped off with Sprite. You can enjoy the drink as is or you can add 2 oz. of a flavored syrup such as cherry, raspberry or peach to the mix. Select premium tequila when possible for the best results.
- For this creamy tequila drink, shake up 1 oz of coffee-flavored liqueur and 1 oz of tequila in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. After pouring the mix into a glass, top off with 2 oz. of Sprite. Never shake up a carbonated drink in a cocktail shaker because the drink will splash all over the place when you open the shaker to pour it. Shaking also makes the drink lose carbonation faster.
- This drink is similar to a Long Island iced tea, as it uses many different types of liquor. To create the drink, add a 1/2 oz. each of tequila, vodka, gin, and rum to a tall glass filled with ice. For the blue color, add a 1/2 oz of blue Curacao, which is a blue-colored orange liqueur. Finish the drink with a splash of sour mix and top the drink off with a splash of Sprite. Serve with cherries for garnish.
- This drink combines a creamy element with a fruit element. Combine 2 oz of tequila with 1 oz of a fruit-flavored brandy in a glass filled with ice. Add 2 oz. of heavy cream to the drink and top with Sprite. Common fruit brandy flavors are cherry, apricot, peach and apple.
- If you like both margaritas and martinis, then you might want to try the Mexican Martini, which combines the two drinks, substituting the vodka with tequila. To make this drink, instead of vodka, pour 2 oz. of tequila in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, along with 2 oz of sweet and sour mix, 1 1/2 oz of orange liqueur, 1 oz of lime juice and 2 oz of orange juice. Shake and pour the mixture into a martini glass and top with a splash of Sprite. Garnish with two olives on a spear. You can add an ounce of vodka if you want the drink to be more potent.
