Here are some simple steps to make one to make your beloved one happy.
- The front can be made of brass, copper or German silver and the back of it can be made of a sheet of tin or brass.
- One can make the frame round, squire oblong according to his wish.
It can be made with a round or oval opening in it to suit the imagination. - First the design should be drawn or transfer to surface of the metal and work it in to shape as previously described.
- Do not cut the opening or trim the metal sheet to the desired size until it is not hammered, because this draws the metal out.
- After making the front one should engage in making the back side of the photo frame.
It can be made of a sheet of tin or brass.
First cut the sheet of desired length and breath, then bend over the edge of one end and both of the side edges. - Solder the edges to the back of the frame and then solder a stay, or stand on the back of it.
It completes the frame and the photograph can be slipped in it between the front and the back.
- To clean any of these metals one need to mix some powdered rotten stone with some machine oil and rub them with a pad made of a soft flannel rug.
- To polish one must wipe off the rotten stone and oil first.
Then rub the work with a chamois skin dampened with alcohol and pt some red rogue on it.
