What To Ask To Your Wedding Registrar

The wedding registrar plays the pivotal role in a marriage. In fact, the wedding registrars, in my opinion, are as important as the bride and groom themselves. After all, there will be no marriage without the wedding registrar, just like there will be no marriage without the bride or the groom! There are some questions you need to ask your wedding registrar to ensure that everything goes smoothly and according to plan, or rather, pretty close to it!

1.When are you available? Wedding registrars are so busy getting people married, that you need to first contact them about a year before your marriage! I know what youre thinking; you might not even know a year before youre married! But, thats how long it takes to complete all the legal formalities and the paperwork!

2.Can you tell me a bit about the legal aspect of things? Speaking of legalities, you need to get a clearer picture of them. So once youve decided on the venue of the marriage, you need to give notice so to speak of the impending nuptials. You also need to be prepared with a birth certificate, proof of address and, if required a clean bill of health. Also, on the final day, youll need to have a brief interview with the registrar to go over the arrangements once more, as a formality.

3.Where can we have our wedding? You can have your wedding at any location which is licensed. Your local registrar will be able to guide you on that one, by providing you with a list of venues where you can have your wedding ceremony.

4.What is the price like? This is an all-important question! You need to pay an initial fee to book the registrar for your wedding and a further fee at the office. You need to find out the exact amount!

5.What are the rules about the day of marriage? You dont want to choose a day only to find out that you cant get married on that day, now do you? You can get married on all days of the week except on Sunday, in the United Kingdom, with the exception of public holidays! Moreover, you need to arrive in advance of your time slot to carry out the pre-marriage interview with the registrar!

Hopefully, this will provide a proper guideline! Good luck with that marriage!
