It's time for another edition of the New York Jets About.com mailbag. We asked you, the fans, what questions you had pertaining to the Jets. After compiling all on Twitter, we've put the best below.

Have a question you don't see listed below that you'd like answered? Shoot us an email. Also, make sure to check out last week's mailbag.

Q: Do you see the Jets trading down to get an offensive tackle?
From @larrysmith318

Hughes: The entire concept of the Jets trading down in the draft is kind of derived from a little mis-construing of Mike Maccagnan's quotes. Did the first-year GM say he would rather trade down to gather more picks? Yes, but that was because he was asked would he rather trade down, or trade up.

With that being said, the only way that I personally see the Jets trading down are if all of the following are gone by the time the team picks: Vick Beasley (Clemson), Dante Fowler Jr. (Florida), Marcus Mariota (Oregon), Kevin White (West Virginia), Amari Cooper (Alabama). The Jets would be thrilled to land any of the aforementioned. If all are gone, absolutely, trade down. If not? No reason to move.

Q: After Maccagnan's press conference, he seemed to be very big on outside linebackers. He even said, 'I've probably said too much." Your take on it?
From @JoeLuterzo

Hughes: I believe Maccagnan sent a very clear message that at some point in the early rounds of the draft, New York will be targeting and selecting an outside linebacker.

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise, either. On a star-studded defense, the only weakness is that position.

Now, I don't believe he 'said too much,' as it's not hard to find out that the Jets need pass rushers. Jason Babin and Calvin Pace are solid players, but well past their prime. Quinton Coples is much better suited to have his hand in the dirt than picked up and lining up on the outside.

Q: If Maccagnan is going to take the best player available, then, in our spot, I think Kevin White is going to be selected. What about you?
From @LarrySmith318

Hughes: It's an interesting name, but I don't see anyway White gets past Oakland at four. I think Maccagnan will go with the best player available that also fits a need for the Jets. Potentially Amari Cooper, Dante Fowler Jr. or Vic Beasley.

Q: It doesn't seem like the Jets trust Chris Ivory to carry the workload. Why won't they give him 17 or more carries a game?
From @40oztoTony

Hughes: It's not that the Jets don't trust Chris Ivory. With the way he runs the ball, it's probably in his best interest that he's limited to 15 carries.

Ivory is the type of running back that will naturally take additional hits. He runs with a fire, breaks tackles, continues to fight for the extra yard and, as a result, takes extra hits. If he were to carry the ball, say, 20 times a game for 16 games, he's looking at 320 carries. Add to that number as he'll take more hits than a running back that goes down with initial contact and you're looking at close to 500 hits a season on one player. That's a lot...for anyone.

With that workload, Ivory's going to break down. By having another back or two to spell him allows Ivory to continue running for, not just 16 games, but additional years on his career.
