Martin Henderson caught the acting bug when a local TV show, "Strangers," had an open casting call at his school. At 13 he was cast in the series and his career took off from there.

Henderson became friends with Heath Ledger when the two worked together on the TV series "Sweat" back in 1996. When Henderson first moved to LA to pursue acting jobs, he lived with Ledger until he could get on his feet financially.
