Guilds

• Unlike most characters, Ean's mystical shape-changing abilities are his only guild choice. He can use "transfigurines" to take the shape of any one of eight fantastic creatures, ranging from an elf to a vampire, provided he can find these figurines. Look for them in the woods and passes that you encounter. Iya has four choices of guild: She may become a Master of Chaos, an Enchantress, a mystic Mage, or a powerful Necromancer. Each guild comes with its own set of powers and drawbacks, so you must choose the path you feel is right for your character. In order to have Iya join a guild, you must find the guild hall and defeat the master. You will gain experience by defeating the master and then be given the option to join, ostensibly to lead the guild itself.
  
  

Weapons

• Better weapons result in quicker battles and less damage to your party because of the use of active defense. Ean is most powerful when wielding either the Dragon Claw, which is found in the Brimstone Underpass, or the Ice Claw, from the Ice Caverns. Iya can use Rhygard's Staff from the Old Ways area and in her off-hand she may equip the Phoenix Sphere, found in Candar, for more potent songs. Brimstone Underpass and Old Ways hold the most powerful weapons for your secondary characters. Journey there with each group to gain more useful items as you level.
  
  

Curses

• Wearing a cursed item or being hit with a curse spell can be fatal in high-level areas. While most items in the game raise your stats, cursed items lower them by half. Cursed weapons may be simply removed to lose the curse effect, while spell-induced curses must be purged. Use Nicolas' "Bless" power or Gavin's "Cleanse" to remove curses from your party. Witcheye Root is a rare item found in Casket Hill that has the ability to de-curse as well. Wearing the Lucky Charm, Undead Amulet or Toad Amulet will also ward off curses.
