Marriage can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
Unfortunately, it can also be one of the most difficult and emotionally challenging experiences as well.
Anyone who is facing the possibility of divorce knows all to well that the situation can seem even worse when you want the marriage, but your spouse is pushing for a divorce.
Convincing a spouse to save a marriage can be difficult, but it could be well worth the struggle if it results in a stronger and healthier marriage.
One thing you can do is to make a list of all of the things you like about your spouse, and of some of the good times you've shared with each other and let him or her read it.
This will allow your partner to remember some of the positive experiences you've had together, rather than only the negative.
Another thing you may want to consider is planning a vacation together.
Just you and your spouse, without the kids or friends to distract you.
Sort of like a date, it may rekindle some of the spark which caused you to be attracted to each other in the first place.
In addition, it is important to simply take the time to sit down and figure out what went wrong in the first place.
Your husband or wife may begin to realize that there are acting more out of emotional impulse than out of a rational response to the situation.
Convincing a spouse to save a marriage can be very difficult, but also well worth the effort.
Both of you will need to realize that the healing process in a marriage can be a long and painful one, but so long as you and your husband or wife are committed to the relationship, it can mean a healthy relationship that can last a lifetime.
