Just like we people can get stones in our kidneys due to various reasons, similarly dogs can also have the kidney stones in them.
We know that the people who have suffered from these kidney stones have a horrible experience due to the immense pain that they have to bear with it.
The dog is almost similar to us and when a dog has stones in his kidney then he is likely to suffer the same amount of pain that a person suffers from the stones in the kidney.
A person can easily describe his pain to us but the dog cannot describe what they are feeling when they are in such great pain.
These kidney stones are also known by the term Nehprolithiasis.
It is basically the presence of a substance known as the renal calculi which resides inside the pelvis of the kidney.
The dog suffering from the kidney stone can be seen to have blood filled urine.
It causes a lot of pain even while the urination process is done.
In severe cases when the pain becomes unbearable the dog can also vomit out.
The kidney stones are very harmful for the dog.
Once the dog is diagnosed with the kidney stones then the person should immediately take his dog to the veteran doctor who will help the dog come out of the pain and make the kidney stones go away.
He will give certain medications to the dog which will help the dog recover from the pain and be free of these unwanted kidney stones.
When the case becomes out of hand and very severe the dog might vomit frequently.
This should never happen as this can lead to the death of the dog at some time.
Hence we see that this disease should never be neglected and should be treated as soon as possible.
The kidney stones occur due to many reasons.
The basic working and the function of a urinary tract of the dog is to filter out and remove all the wastes from the body in some form so that no waste is left inside.
This comes out in the form of urine.
Sometimes it is seen that while the filtering process is done, not all the body waste comes out.
Some of it crystallizes within to form small crystal which we call as the stones.
These do not come out and stay within the tract of the urine.
As the time passes by they grow larger in size due to accumulation and may hence turn out to be very harmful for the dog.
It is for this reason that we should take proper care of our dogs and he should be treated if there occurs any such kind of situation.
