After crashing out of the Copa America on penalties to Paraguay, the Brazilian squad has backed thier performance.

According to reports in the Guardian, Coach Mano Menezes has requested with their countrymen to look for the right side of the loss.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes has declared that his side worked hard to beat Paraguay and should have progressed to the semifinals at Copa America.

"It's important to keep our calm after a loss and avoid thinking that it was all negative," Menezes said. "We improved after the start in the competition and we will continue working hard so we can reach the positive results in the future."

"It's always disappointing when things don't go our way," Menezes added.

"We lost to a team which hasn't won a match yet and now has reached the semi-finals. But that's football and we have to learn how to live with that to avoid compromising the work that we've done so far.

"And at the same time we have to understand what we need to do to improve from now on."

He was not the only one to try to shift the blame of their poor performance in Argentina.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires was angered by the defeat, saying: "After the way we played today [Sunday], I've never seen a more unfair result in my entire career".

They lost on penalties 2-0 to Paraguay and they were not able to score even a single penalty in whereas Paraguay was not able to score the 1st penalty aswell but the next 3 were beautifully scored.

So for the fans this was a great loss , a Brush aside defeat. they were quite a young team playing out with great confidence and made alot in the tournament.

They were far better side n stronger side to Paraguay, but this is football anything can happen.

Some questions were raised over the future of the ex-Corinthians coach following the Selecao's quarterfinal defeat on Sunday afternoon, marking a disappointing campaign from the holders after two consecutive wins in the South American tournament.

But Mano Menezes will not lose his job over Brazil's Copa America debacle and will stay in charge to prepare the side for the 2014 World Cup, the country's football association confirmed on Monday afternoon
