Spray On Bed Liner Protection

Spray on bed liner application protects truck beds from damage that can easily lead to rust and corrosion.  But what about protecting the bed liner itself from damage?  With the cost of a bed liner, it just makes sense to protect the liner too.

After all, spray on liners are paint coatings.  The paint includes texture to give it thickness.  It also includes very tough paint in the coating.  Usually it is even a two part material that dries fast and tough.  None of that means the lining is impossible to damage.

The guarantee that comes with liners does not guarantee that the liner will not be damaged.  What it guarantees is repair of a damaged liner.  That means a respray.  Until that recoat happens, you drive a damaged liner around.

It only makes sense to protect the liner itself, especially if rough hauling projects can be reasonably expected to scar or scrape a liner.

Really protection of a spray on liner is quite simple and cheap as well.

Actually a bed mat that slips in the pickup to cover the bottom of the bed will stop almost all damage to the liner as well as protecting from dents as well or better than any spray coating.

Either an inexpensive carpet rug or rubber mats protect the much more expensive liner for really low cost.  Carpet works especially well for easily damaged loads, like furniture for example.  Rubber mats work especially well for really abrasive hauling, like concrete blocks as an example.  Either is easy to remove and easy to store for the next time you need some help.

Spray on bed liner protection can include easy additions to protect an expensive liner with a very inexpensive mat.  Cheap bed mats protect bed liners and add even more cushioning to your pickup bed.
