College of New Rochelle Description:

The College of New Rochelle is a Catholic women’s college encompassing six campuses across the Greater New York City area. The 20-acre main campus is located in the suburban town of New Rochelle, 16 miles from the city. Undergraduate students can choose from over 30 majors, the most popular being nursing, psychology, biology and the integrated liberal arts degree offered by the college’s School of New Resources for adult learners.

Academics are supported by an 11 to 1 student faculty ratio, with 89% of faculty members holding doctoral degrees or the highest degree available in their field. Campus life is active, offering students 16 clubs and student organizations as wells as a number of college-wide events and activities. The College of New Rochelle Blue Angels compete in six sports in the NCAA Division III Hudson Valley Athletic Conference and the Association of Division III Independents.

"The College of New Rochelle, founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order, is an independent College which is Catholic in origin and heritage. Its primary purpose is the intellectual development of persons through the maintenance of the highest standards of academic excellence and educational growth.
