Valencia Community has three provinces; they are Alicante, Castellon and Valencia which is the capital of the Community. This Community is Spain's Autonomous Community where sunshine is enjoyed over 300 days of the year with more than 500 kilometers of beautiful and attractive beaches; this makes Valencia Community very popular as a tourist destination in Spain.

However, there is more than the natural beauty and sights of attraction in Valencia. The diverse ancient conquests of the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Moors and Christian Re-Conquest bring on varied influences with indelible marks through fiestas and traditions besides the numerous artisan monuments in Valencia.

Festivals

There are plenty of festivals celebrated in Valencia. It is well known for its festive celebrations of every fiesta according to the culture and tradition which it upholds fervently. There are colorful processions and active participation from the locals and visitors; there are singing, dancing, music, flamenco and spectacular fireworks.

The community in Valencia has no hesitation in taking a year to build a pyrotechnical art piece to be burned down in a night of festivity. Every festival is celebrated with full indulgence to enjoy that moment.

Springtime celebrations

One of the most popular fiestas in Valencia is its springtime festivals; especially the Fallas de San José which is a celebration of spring commencing. There would be well constructed and elaborate cardboard sculptures that would be burned on the March 19th; the last day of the festival after a humongous street party. This festival is celebrated over 4 days.

There would be dances, bullfights and more fireworks throughout the celebrations. The locals would come out donned in beautiful traditional regional attire in full celebration of the festival.

Summer celebrations

Summer is another great occasion for festivity in Valencia; hence, the Feria de Julio is elaborately celebrated with floral decorations everywhere. There would be lots of dancing, parties, fireworks and wine freely flowing from the region's best sherry wine available.

Many of these festivals incorporate Spain's traditional art of bull fighting. The festivity is spiked up with the bullfights that run throughout Valencia Community.

In October, the Valencia Community would celebrate a special day on the ninth day. This is the festival of Day of Comunidad Valenciana where commemorations are made in conjunction with the region's Re-Conquest from the Moors, vakantiehuizen in spanje.

Then, there is the La Mocaorá fiesta where every Spaniard and tourist would feast on the local cuisines to their heart's content. This is a favorite fiesta by gourmets and chefs who love to enjoy the traditional tantalizing local recipes for one and all.
