Home Business Success Principles

Many people who have had job security in the past have lost it.
Businesses are closing.
Lots of very talented people are trying to figure out how to make money from home.
While many pie-in-the-sky ideas and opportunities can found, legitimate business opportunities also exist.
How can you tell the difference? And which ones might you be well suited to do? How do you identify a top home business that is right for you? You can find all sorts of offers that include blogging, social media, network marketing, E-books, affiliate marketing, online and private label licensing.
Internet marketing and network marketing.
Juices, lotions, potions, vitamins, and on and on.
But are people earning big money with these methods? A few.
Statistics show that the majority are making a few hundred dollars per month, or less.
Certainly not enough for you to quit your day job, if you have one.
Maybe it's time to go back to the basics.
What works and what doesn't? First understand that what's going on with the economy doesn't matter.
The economy is "out there.
" We're starting "in here.
" Sure we hear news reports daily about how bad the economy is.
Politicians keep telling us how bad things are, and then they simultaneously raise our taxes.
So, who's making all that money to afford the luxury homes and cars that I see all around me, or flying on those private jets to vacation in 5-star resorts around the world? We don't have a money problem in the world.
We have a distribution problem.
I would simply like more of the world's enormous wealth to flow in my direction.
So what's required? A post-graduate education? Specialized training in how to use some new complex technology? Being born with a genius IQ? No.
People just like you and me are earning millions of dollars every year in the current economy.
Always have.
Always will.
Allow me to share a few observations about reliable business methods and principles.
1.
Identify a product or service that millions of people want.
And remember--what they want is always more important that what they need.
A person may need a new pair of shoes, but he'll buy a new TV set instead, in order to watch his favorite sport.
Find something not readily available in their local markets or discount stores.
This could be some specialty item for a select group of shoppers.
For instance, a high-quality set of golf clubs, tennis racquets, or fishing equipment could generate huge profits once you learn how to target those specific markets.
Search the Internet to find unique products.
Search to see how those products are being marketed.
Then make them available to select buyers.
2.
What profession do you already know about? What are the problems faced by nearly everyone in your industry? For example, schools are suffering as budgets are cut more and more.
Teachers are moving elsewhere to work.
Someone close to the problem-any teacher or student--might really delve into the options and come up with an idea that could help enormously.
Such ideas can be sold to city councils or county school boards for considerable sums of money.
Are you a truck driver, carpenter, seamstress, dentist, housewife, mother, or grocery store clerk? What everyday problems need solving in your industry? If you find a solution that works for you, it may work for millions of others.
Somebody will pay for your creation.
3.
Create your own method to connect with your target market.
Maybe you've discovered a way to make money through purchasing tax liens on properties.
So you write a book or record a CD for others.
But how do you attract the millions of people who would gladly pay for this information? Perhaps start a blog about tax liens in real estate.
Post articles daily, and share bits and pieces of what you have learned.
Let your local newspaper know about what you've discovered.
Make yourself available for local radio or TV shows.
Write and post articles to free article directories, and share helpful content with others.
Include a link at the end of each article to your personal website or blog, where your book or CD is available for purchase.
Add it to an affiliate site, where others can profit by marketing your material.
If you don't already know about any of this, look up what you want to know on the Internet, using your favorite search engine.
Give first.
Receive later.
Does this sound familiar? 4.
If you want a new source of income, you'll need to develop new skills.
Identify someone who is currently successful in a field or profession that appeals to you.
Connect with that person-or more than one.
Invite yourself to work with them.
Ask for recommendations about how or where you can begin.
Join them in business, if possible.
Work for free if you must in order to learn.
Become an apprentice.
And copy exactly what that person does every single day.
If you want the results that others have, then do exactly what they do.
Dress like them.
Walk like them.
Talk like them.
Act like them.
Figure out how you can be of service to a leader in that industry, and share what you have to give.
You'll gain the new skills that you deserve in return.
5.
In his book, THINK AND GROW RICH, Napoleon Hill speaks of the importance of persistence.
He considers this as one of the major principles of success in any endeavor.
His associate-- Harold Keown--says this means to "Just keep on keeping on," regardless of how discouraging outside appearances may become.
You must believe in yourself.
If one idea or approach fails, then you are that much closer to success because you've eliminated at least one strategy that does not work.
Simply change direction and keep moving forward.
Someone once said, "A sailor may not be able to change the direction of the wind, but he can always adjust his sails.
" 6.
Decide exactly what you want.
Write down your definite goals.
Visualize yourself every single day as having already obtained that goal.
Attain your goal first in your mind and imagination.
Make it so real that you can almost touch it.
No matter what anyone else says or does to discourage you, believe in yourself and in the worthiness of your goal.
Do something constructive every day to move closer to your goal.
And then trust the universe to deliver it to you.
