Definition:
The adjectival form of a verb - it has the properties of a verb as well as an adjective. There are two tenses of participles: present and past.
Examples:
J'ai vu Luc.
I saw Luc.
Des amours cachées
Hidden loves
Je suis heureuse en skiant.
I'm happy skiing.
Venant à Paris, il est tombé malade.
Coming to Paris, he got sick.
