We went camping there when I was a child with my parents, and I tent camped there in June 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

The campsites were decent sized and clean. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. The park ranger and park staff were really nice. The beach was clean, and there are two pavilions nearby. The park also does the Junior Ranger program for kids, and there is also a small playground centered between the two campsite loops.


Plenty of hiking trails and wildlife. Nice and quiet, and people follow the quiet hours.

Pros: Quiet and peaceful. Attractions nearby in Chippewa Falls and other small towns. Info from Chippewa County delivered quickly. Over all really nice place.

Nearby attractions: Irvin Park and Zoo, Leinenkugel's Brewery, Country Fest in Cadott, war memorials, Wisconsin Renaissance Fair on weekends in Chippewa Falls, a lot of old wall advertising in Chippewa Falls (you can find most doing the historic walk).

Further comments: Nice place for a quiet time, but also great for families.
