How Do I Obtain a License to Officiate a Marriage in Sacramento County?
- 1). Print out the "One-Time Deputy Marriage Commissioner" application from the Sacramento County Internal Services Agency website. You can find this application form on the website, or you could go in person to the Sacramento County Clerk's Office.
- 2). Fill out the application. At least one party on the application (either you or the couple you are marrying) must reside in Sacramento County. Fax it or mail it back to the County Clerks Office. The fax number and address are both listed on the application.
- 3). Schedule an appointment to appear in the office and be deputized. After your application is received, you will be contacted by phone to schedule an appointment. When you appear in the office you are required to pay a fee. As of 2010, this fee is $43.
