Verify Your Facebook Account

• 1). Verify your Facebook account if you have not already done so by providing a mobile phone number or credit card number.
  
  
• 2). Log into Facebook. Then click on "Account," located on the top left corner of your home page. Then click on "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.
  
  
• 3). Verify a mobile phone number by clicking the "Mobile" tab. Then click "Register for Facebook Text Messages." Enter your Country and mobile phone carrier, then follow the instructions to activate your mobile phone.
  
  
• 4). Verify your account with a credit card number by clicking on the "Payments" tab. Then click "Payment Methods." Enter your credit card number as directed.
  
  

Configuring a Facebook "Like" Button

• 1). Log into Facebook and click "Profile." Then click the "Developers" link on the bottom of your profile.
  
  
• 2). Click "Add Facebook to My Site." This will take you to a tutorial on Social Plugins.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Like Button" link in the "Social Plugins" section.
  
  
• 4). Enter your website address in the "URL to Like" field. To have the button automatically detect the website address, you will have to use the Facebook JavaScript SDK.
  
  
• 5). Deselect the "Send Button" option. To use this option, you will have to use the Facebook JavaSript SDK.
  
  
• 6). Configure your button using the options provided, or leave them at the default settings. Then click the "Get Code" button. Highlight the code provided and press "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard to copy it. Then paste the code in your website where you would like it to appear.
  
  
• 7). Include advanced options in your Facebook button by clicking on the "SDKs & Tools" link on the left margin. Read the instructions carefully to integrate Facebook JavaScript code to your website.
