Ebook Marketers - How to Write a Sales Letter to Move Your Products Fast
Without a sale there is no business.
There is no point in spending hundreds of hours creating something if no one is going to buy it.
Read on to find out how you can sell some serious ebooks.
First off, I am assuming that you have done your research and that you have a product for which there is a hungry market.
If there is no market for what you are selling, then you should not even start the project.
Creating a market where one does not exist will be an uphill battle that you won't win.
You never want to educate your customers.
You just want to show them how your product will solve their current problem.
That being said, now that you have your product, you will need to create a compelling sales letter to get some money into your bank account.
Create a headline that will captivate the reader, forcing them to keep going so that they can have their unanswered question resolved.
Don't give away the whole promotion, just enough to spark interest.
Keep the headline under 14 words, around 7-9 is even better, because 7 is the most things a person can remember easily.
Once you have the headline, write a story about your product.
Don't just pitch it like a carnival barker.
People remember stories and the greatest sales letters of all time have used this technique to move BILLIONS of dollars worth of products, so it will probably work for you as well.
People love stories about rags to riches, or how the product can solve something that could not be solved elsewhere.
Stories are portable and their details are much easier remembered than a bulleted list.
Now you need to show the benefits of the product.
Benefits are the way that a product will help the reader's life.
These are not features, which are technical stats.
Here's an example: Feature-10,000 lb test seat belts in a new car.
Benefit- Now you can travel stress-free knowing that your family is safe in the backseat with our 10,000 pound seat belts.
Once you have the benefits out of the way you need to create a closing statement and a call to action.
Every sales letter needs to get the reader to get off the couch and take an action of some kind.
Create scarcity, or a time limit on the ordering process.
Throw in a solid guarantee that removes skepticism and you are well on your way to having a great sales letter.
