Once you find a way to make those initial sales, that is the time to start thinking about being proactive with getting some testimonials. Most people probably go about it the wrong way or they are not aware of the dynamics involved with effective testimonials that help their sales. What you are about to read will give you a solid understanding of what steps are involved in this important process.

The fact is, case studies are much harder to get than a typical testimonial, which makes them have a higher perceived value. A case study is nothing but an elaborate testimonial, with much more details added. Its not just a few lines of positive feedback, but an actual experience recounted by the customer when using the product. When you think about it, all you are doing is receiving very in-depth feedback about your product/service, and be sure to tell people to write everything. Businesses of all sizes use the case study strategy and method because it is effective as a marketing device. You should have a fairly good idea about how well your product performs, and so all you need to do is contact your customers.

People are still having a love affair with video, and we want to talk about using it with your testimonials. As with any video, you can clearly see whether or not a person is being genuine, and the expression lends something to video that cannot be otherwise captured with any other format. We will not tell you that all will be well if you use video because there are other variables, but you have a much better chance of seeing improvements in sales if you do. What is a fake video testimonial? We suppose if the person is outright lying, then that would be a fake. Even though they can be really great, the bottom line is just about nobody will be willing to give you a video testimonial.

If you have never received any testimonials, then just be prepared for rejection because a large percentage will show not inclination, and actually most will probably ignore your communications about the matter. However, one possible work-around is to look for stories from them. People love recounting their experiences and youll only make their job easier by asking for feedback this way. Good stories that are true should have concrete facts, so that is something to be sure you pass along in your instructions. Do not be worried about the possibility that somebody may be critical of you; just let it ride and see what happens. Keep in mind that you still need to ask for permission to use the story.

Your sales copy will not be complete until you have fabulous testimonials gracing it - so get to work on it.
