How to Remove Heating Elements From Kenmore 90 Series Dryers
- 1). Unplug the power cord of the Kenmore 90 series dryer from the electric outlet before attempting to remove the heating element. Move the dryer away from the wall so you can work from behind the appliance.
- 2). Remove the nine hex screws from the back panel of the dryer with a nut driver. Take the back panel off the dryer and set it aside.
- 3). Locate the heating element assembly on the right side of the interior dryer panel. The assembly cover will have a terminal on the lower left hand side of the panel.
- 4). Unplug the electric wiring connectors from the terminal on the side of the heating element assembly cover by hand. Unfasten the two hex screws that are holding the cover to the interior panel with a nut driver.
- 5). Lift the heating element assembly cover up and slide it out of the interior panel by hand. Remove the heating element assembly from the back of the Kenmore 90 series dryer.
