How to Find Out if You Have an Outstanding Warrant in Any State
- 1). Search for warrant information on the court website. Type in your name and birth date. Some searches allow you to use your case or cause number, located on the letter you received regarding a hearing notice. (Reference 2, charts)
- 2). Call the county clerk's office if you cannot use the court website. Give your name as the person who might have been involved in the criminal or civil case. Provide the case number, birth date and Social Security number. (Reference 1, paragraph 2)
- 3). Obtain warrant information regarding federal court cases through the federal clerk of courts. You will not be able to find multiple warrant information in different circuits or states from your district county clerk. Hire an attorney or work with a bail bondsman to locate all outstanding warrants. (Reference 1, paragraph 5)
