Basic Game Play

• The game is simple to understand. The goal is to put a silver ball into a black hole by pushing or pulling the ball with telescopes. Extend and contract the telescopes by clicking on them. Because the game's background is a small grid, it is easy to see where each telescope will push or pull the ball. The Block Levels introduce a small block that you may also push and pull around the board.
  
  

Scorekeeping

• The scorecard link will show you your best and worst performance on each level in the current set of levels you are working on. For example, if you are playing Level 11, it will show you your score for Levels 1 through 15. It also shows you the "par" score for each level -- that is, the least number of moves required to complete the level. You can retry a level as many times as you like to try to lower your score.
  
  

Levels

• The game divides its levels into three sets as follows: Levels 1 to 15, Levels 16 to 25 and Block Levels. All three sets of levels use the same same principles of game play. The first few levels are quite simple, while the higher numbered levels become increasingly complex. Several websites, including the Dyson FAQ page, discuss additional levels, such as the Grandmaster Levels, but as of January 2011, the links provided appear to be broken. This is true of both the in-game links and ones found on external sites.
  
  

Hints

• The telescopes are color-coded to show their maximum extension length. Green telescopes are three blocks long, yellow telescopes are four blocks long, blue telescopes are five blocks long and red telescopes are six blocks in length. You may block a telescope by extending another telescope into its path. Try working backward from the end of the puzzle toward the beginning to discover a solution.
