How to Find a Boudoir Photographer
- 1). Contact local photography studios. In addition to weddings and portraiture, some studios may also perform boudoir shoots. Ask to see samples of their boudoir work before negotiating any details.
- 2). Talk to friends who have been involved in a boudoir shoot. If any of your friends are aspiring models, they may be able to recommend a reputable boudoir photographer. As boudoir photography is often performed prior to marriage, friends that are brides-to-be or recently wed may also be able to make a referral.
- 3). Browse your local listings. Depending on the size of your town or city, looking under "Photography" or "Photographers" may yield several boudoir studios.
- 4). Perform an online search. Using terms such as "boudoir," "photographer," and the name of your city or state is a great way to start. If you find that the nearest studio is in a different city or farther away, decide whether you're willing to travel for a shoot.
- 5). Consult a trusted photographer friend. If you are particularly fond of a friend's photographic style, you may ask him or her to assist you with your boudoir shoot. As long as your friend has a good eye for interior lighting and is talented at re-touching, the results may rival those of studio photographers.
