People who are interested in riding on the yak can find them at altitudes between 3500 m to 6000 meters. Yak safaris can be undertaken in winters and summers too. You would have to book in advance to go on a yak safari.

Trekkin Ladakh
Being an overdone activity, trekking is the most favourite and will always remain popular amongst adventurers. Anyone looking to try their own limits chooses Ladakh as a destination atleast once. The mountains ranges are so diverse and the natural surroundings so beautiful no one can come back without getting attached to the place. All kinds of trekking tours are available. You would need a good pair of trekking shoes, warm and waterproof clothes, sun glasses, sleeping bags and first aid kit as essentials if you come to Ladakh. The highest pass, the Khardung-la pass is situated in this region. The best time to come here for trekking is between June to September.
