Power Cycle

• "Power cycling" is a fancy term for the simple fix of turning a device off, counting to 10, and then turning it back on. While it may seem silly, sometimes a quick reboot is all a device needs to start behaving again.
  
  

Contrast

• Check the contrast controls. It is possible that the PSP's brightness setting was accidentally turned up all the way. Returning it to a balanced level may fix the problem.
  
  

Uninstall the Upgrade

• Custom PSP hacks, mods or otherwise altered system files can pose instability issues for your device. Uninstall any programs that you have recently added to your PSP.
