1999 Lincoln Town Car Specifications
- The Town Car made its first appearance for Lincoln in 1981, maintaining the traditional look and style that had been Lincoln's calling-card since the 1960s. The Town Car received a contemporary re-design in 1998, along with a new chassis. The 1999 version made its debut with side airbags and five new exterior colors
- The 1999 Town Car comes in three trim levels: the Executive, Signature and Cartier. The Executive and Signature offer a standard 4.6-liter V8 engine with 205 horsepower and 280 foot-pounds of torque. The Cartier comes standard with a 4.6-liter V8 engine with 220 horsepower. All trims come with four-speed automatic overdrive transmissions and two valves per cylinder. The 205-horsepower engines has a 10 to one compression ratio, while the 220 horsepower engine has a 9.4 to 1 compression ratio.
- All three trims hold 19 gallons of fuel. Each engine achieves 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway.
- All three trims offer 20.60 cubic feet of cargo space available. They also seat six people in 112.30 cubic feet of interior space. All trims offer leather multi-adjustable power seats; 39.20 inches of headroom are available in the front seat, while 37.50 inches is available to rear passengers. The front seat offers 42.60 inches of legroom while the rear passengers get 41.10 inches.
- Child safety features and power door locks come standard on all three trims. ABS and traction control are also standard to help prevent collisions. In the event that a collision occurs, driver, passenger and front side airbags with head protection are all standard features.
- All three trims come with several features to help improve the comfort and entertainment value of the vehicle. Each trim comes with a standard radio and cassette player. Cruise control, air conditioning and steering-wheel-mounted controls are also standard options on each trim.
