If you wish to substitute yarn, you will need 124 grams of sport weight that is 100% cotton, acrylic, or a blend of these fibers.


Crochet Hook:
US size E (3.5mm) hook
Adjust hook size to achieve gauge listed below.

Gauge:
11 sc and 12 rnds = 2” using size E (3.5mm) hook

Finished Size:
Sample measures 12” wide x 16” deep, excluding handles.

Foundation Rnd: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 50 ch sts, 2 sc in last ch. Do not turn work. Rotate piece 90 degrees to work across bottom edge of ch sts. 2 sc in first ch, 1 sc in bottom of next 50 ch sts, 2 sc in bottom of last ch -- 108 sts.

Rnd 1: Ch 1 (counts as first sc), sc in same sp, sc in next 52 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 52 sts, 2 sc in last st, sl st in ch-1 sp -- 112 sts.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in next 54 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 54 sts, 2 sc in last st, sl st in ch-1 sp -- 116 sts.
