415 Eustis Ave
John J. Bradley purchased property on Maiden Lane (now Eustis Avenue) in 1896. Huntsville architect Herbert Cowell planned the residence in the Dutch-inspired Colonial Revival style. The house, featuring a front gambrel roof, is a fine example of the Dutch style that enjoyed great popularity between 1895 and 1915.
The house remained in the Bradley family until 1935. To help accommodate the rapid growth of Huntsville, the residence was converted into apartments during the early 1950’s.
Dr. and Mrs. Edward Walker acquired the property in 1979 and returned the structure to a single-family dwelling. Today, this delightful house reflects its late 19th century origins with handsome antiques and appointments collected by the Walkers.
