This book is the second book that is co-written with Joseph's wife and son.
Her name is Shiela M.
Parrish -Spence, and Jonathan Clarence Parrish - Spence is their son.
This is a beautiful collection of poetry that has poems of love, family relationships, romance, world travels, the seasons, prayers and spirituality.
In this book he introduces his very own created format of "Epulaeryu Poetry.
" He breaks the poems down into these sections and all within them are well written.
There is also a Poetic glossary with the formats that he uses within this collection.
The glossary helps the reader understand the concept of the various types of forms.
I loved the entire collection but especially enjoyed the following.
"My Treasure Chest" is a beautiful poem written in monorhyme.
Each stanza has the same ending rhyme.
His chest has precious items inside.
These items are faith, hope, charity, and love.
The greatest one he speaks of is love.
This was beautiful in content, expression and message.
"Healing Prayers for Asthmatics" had special significance to me.
His words lift all asthmatics up to feel the healing power of Jesus.
I felt his emotion when he wrote this and I also felt relief as I read it.
"His Ecclesiastical Love" is a beautiful Quatrain poem that has dynamic imagery and expression.
Within this poem he is speaking of our Almighty Father.
His ending line is nothing less than spectacular.
"The Love of God" is a beautiful poem that is written in free style that has great emotion and message within.
It is highly uplifting and makes your spirit soar with the tranquility it brings as you read it.
He makes good use of metaphors within this to emphasis the love God has for each of us.
"God's Grace" written by Sheila was very beautiful.
She has a fine touch of using imagery to highlight her verse.
This poem I read a couple of times to receive the full impact of its beauty.
"Family Fun" was another beautiful poem where Sheila writes with fantastic imagery and uses great emotion within.
You feel as if you are right there in the scene she is creating before your very eyes.
She does a marvelous job in this poem.
"Father's Day" is a beautiful tribute poem to Joseph's Dad who is now a memory to him.
In this poem you feel the love they shared and know the memories hold a special place in his heart.
This poem was a beautifully written expression of his deep love for his Dad.
"Sauteed Duck Feast" is a beautiful poem in Joseph's invented format, the "Epulaeryu.
" This form describes what he is eating in detail and allows his reader to almost taste this fine delicacy.
This poem was certainly by far the tastiest poem in his book.
"Matrimonial Bliss" is a beautiful poem written after attending a wedding of a friend.
He captures the love the couple shows the congregation while they are taking their wedding vows.
There is great imagery here and content.
Most of us can relate to this beautiful moment in our own lives.
I would like to tell you that I highly recommend this book to any poetry lover.
It would make a fine book to add to anyone's poetry collection.
Joseph's books are available on line in most retail stores, especially Amazon.
