    Omaha

    • Located in northwestern Nebraska, the Oglala National Grasslands is a 94,000-acre national park. The park features hiking trails through prairie grasses, which allows couples to observe local wildlife. Wildlife species include swift foxes, red-tailed hawks and badgers. Admission to the park and campground is free. Dining and shopping options are available at Chadron and Harrison, less than 30 minutes from Oglala National Grasslands. Chadron is home to the Heritage Grille, a fine dining restaurant with romantic elements, such as dim lighting. Couples who want intimate quarters during their visit to Oglala can stay at the Harrison House Hotel in Harrison. This boutique hotel features rooms with antique furniture for couples at $48 per night. Couples can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the dining room, which serves dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.
