Are Airline Tickets Going To Drop In 2010?
If you’re looking to fly this summer you would know that the prices are still sky high, but a lot of people are waiting it out, to see whether or not prices for tickets will drop. In the summer of 2009, we saw a drop in summer fares we haven’t seen in a long time. People were taking advantage of these cheap international flights and flying all over the world. This year we saw a lot of turbulence in the flight market and airlines have cut down on their supply of airplanes, just to cope with the huge cost of running the business. So what will happen this year, will prices go down again like last year and are we going to take advantage again of these cheap international flights or we going to have to pay these ridiculous amounts that we are seeing right now? This last December, prices didn’t fail again and were sky high, however we did find some consolidators now and then that did have decent pricing in cheap international flights. If you want to play it safe, the best things to do is talk to a consolidator and see if they can negotiate some prices for you with the airlines (try www.letsflycheaper.com) for this summer. They always have it a little cheaper, but if you like to roll the dice, wait till February and try your luck again. My guess is as good as anyone; however I would not wait till after February unless you have to. The risk just doesn’t weigh out the benefits; I would just buy and get it over with. Chances that you will find prices half of what is posted right now, is just not realistic.
