With your blogs, you are able to inform people about the things they need to know, hence, they come to visit your page.
You're not only serving your personal need to express yourself.
You're also doing service to people who believe in what you know and what you can do to affect them in every little way that you, through your blogging, can.
Again, why not earn at the same time? Blogging is a completely legitimate way to earn an income.
You are not taking anything from your readers, nor are they forced to surrender anything to you.
