How to Market Crochet Work
- 1). Research local craft, hobby and sewing shops as well as any nearby craft fairs or markets. Make a list of the shops, fair and markets that includes their address and business hours.
- 2). Make business cards, fliers or posters to promote your work. Include pictures of your best work on the fliers and posters, and the name of your business, your website and a contact number or email address on all of the items.
- 3). Take your promotional materials to local shops and ask the owner's permission to hang them or have employees hand them out. If the shop owners are resistant to the idea, politely appeal to local nature of your work and offer to promote the store on your website or by word of mouth in exchange.
- 4). Bring some of your finest work to a local craft fair to begin making a name for the quality of your work. Having a booth with a banner and a logo will help gain brand recognition, and handing out promotional material at the fair to potential customers will help spread word of your business.
