Why Choose an Electric Radiator?

Electric radiators used to have something of a bad name.
Ugly, expensive and wildly inefficient, they were seen as a second class alternative to the cheaper and longer lasting central heating systems which millions of homes are still fitted with.
For a long while, all those things were true, and electric radiators were nothing more than another option available to those who for whatever reason couldn't (or didn't want to) fit central heating.
Things have changed over the last decade though, as electric radiators have undergone something of a renaissance and emerged as one of the finest ways to heat your home.
To explain why, join us as we take a look at the modern electronic radiator.
As the cost of gas is ever rising and depleting, many of us are looking for a way to wean ourselves off harmful fossil fuels and turn to a greener way of heating our homes.
In that respect, electric radiators are an excellent choice for a multitude of reasons.
Firstly, and most obviously, electrically powered radiators are, well, powered by electricity.
Now, this isn't eco-friendly on its own, as electricity can come from some incredibly damaging sources, but if you pair electric radiators with a green energy tariff like the ones detailed in Ofgem's Green Energy Supply Certification Scheme you'll be heating your home without causing any damage to the environment at all.
There's also the massive degree of customisability that electric radiators can offer you.
Depending on how often you use certain rooms, there's a good chance you'll need some rooms in your house heated all the time.
Alas, with central heating you don't get an easy choice, having to manually turn radiators on and off in each individual room, which is nothing if not a hassle.
With electric radiators you can switch them on or off as you need them through a simple, easy to use remote control, ensuring you only heat the rooms you need to, saving energy and money as you go.
Modern electronic radiators are also 100% efficient in their conversion of electricity to heat, meaning no wasted money or undue damage on the environment.
They're also a great deal thinner and prettier than they once were, blending beautifully into any home, classical or modern.
The only thing you need to get up and running with electrically powered radiator is a plug socket, so any home, regardless of age can join the revolution and ditch gas in favour of clean electricity.
