How do your customers view your pizza business? Every customer that walks into your pizza business takes a 40 second snapshot of how your operation looks.
That 40 seconds can be very crucial to how they view your business.
We've all done it, walked into a food establishment and with in 40 seconds you begin to have thoughts run through your mind.
You noticed a light out in the lobby or the first person you talk to, has a dirty uniform on.
The thoughts take over and before you even get a chance to enjoy the delicious food you ordered, your mind has already made judgment of how your overall opinion is going to be.
At that point it doesn't matter how the food taste.
If the establishment wasn't appealing to you, you may not return.
As an owner or manager, you need to ensure that your operation is appealing to your customers 100% of the time.
Everyday you walk into your business stop in the lobby, put yourself in the customers shoes, and take a look around.
Are the walls clean? The floor and baseboards? The counter, is it cluttered or clean? Behind the counter, do you have a pick up rack? If so make sure the rack is organized and clean.
If you store boxes on the top shelf make sure they are stacked so it appears full, if you store delivery bags on the bottom shelf make sure they are neatly organized.
The counter help and drivers that cash out customers, are they clean cut or wearing a dirty uniform? Perception is everything in the world of restaurant business.
If you run your operation like an unorganized $6k a week store with poor customer service then you'll never do more than $6k a week.
The management staff of your operation needs to believe that it can do $12k a week.
Along with that believe the pizza shop needs to appear that it does $12k a week.
Everything needs to be stocked, cleaned, organized, presentable to the customer, and provide the best customer service.
The pizza industry is very competitive, if you think big your sales will grow.
Treat every customer to top notch customer service and they'll come back.
Thank them for their business, tell them you'll see them in a few days, and make your pizza shop the pizza they think of when they're ordering pizza!
