Bar Sink Styles
- Several types of stainless steel bar sinks exist today, including rimmed, undermount and freestanding designs. These sinks come in a variety of styles like contemporary and traditional. Traditional sinks have decorative lines and trim, a square or round shape and matching faucets. Contemporary sinks have a cleaner, modern look with fewer lines and decorations. Each features the shiny stainless steel finish that lends itself to either style.
- Granite bar sinks come in either undermount or rimmed designs. A granite sink is carved from solid stone and features a natural stone finish. Granite bar sinks install in solid granite or wood laminate countertops to add a natural, organic style to any bar. Granite matches hardwood bar tops and complements leather upholstered bar furniture. Durable and sanitary, it is an expensive but long-lasting solution for any home bar.
- A copper bar sink lends a traditional style to your bar. Copper sinks feature an all-copper bowl that is a red-brown color. Most copper sinks come sealed with a protective coating. They install in granite, wood or hybrid countertops made from a mixture of recycled particles and adhesives. Copper sinks come in several finishes, including a hammered copper with a textured surface and polished copper, which is very shiny.
- Glass bar sinks come in a range of colors and optional decorative touches. The glass bar sink usually mounts on top of the bar countertop, as a vessel sink. However, the glass bar sink can also mount underneath the counter as an undermount sink. A colorful bar sink is ideal for a contemporary bar with a solid black countertop, while a subtle glass bar sink is ideal for a traditional, solid wood bar counter.
- A ceramic bar sink is a classic choice and often less expensive than the others. Ceramic bar sinks in any color are available today, and usually any size and shape is just a special order away. Porcelain, acrylic and enamel bar sinks also fit in this category. Most of these bar sinks fit into a traditional or modern bar and mount on top of or under the countertop.
