    Connecting to the Internet

    • 1). Purchase a Nintendo DS Browser Cartridge and insert it into your DS. The original Nintendo DS is only able to access the Internet through this special cartridge.

    • 2). Go to the Nintendo WFC Settings Menu from the main menu. Click the "Nintendo WFC Menu" page. Select "Nintento WFC Settings Menu."

    • 3). Find an access point by selecting a wireless access point that reads "None." Then select "Search for an Access Point."

    • 4). Select an access point. The DS will provide you with a list of available access points. If there is an open access point, click the name and wait for the DS to connect. If the access point is locked, enter the password and click "OK." If it is an access point you wish to use frequently, press the "A" button to save your settings.

    • 5). Press the "A" button again to test the connection settings.

    • 6). Go back to the main menu. Click the "X" at the lower right hand side of the screen.

    • 7). Select the browser. The Nintendo DS Browser Pack comes with web browser Opera installed. Click the appropriate icon on the main page.

    • 8). Surf away. Go to a web page by searching from the Opera home page.

    • 9). Use your stylus to scroll around the page. The top screen will show a close-up of the website. You can move this image around by pressing your stylus on the bottom screen and moving the stylus around to the appropriate area of the website.

    Playing Games

    • 1). Insert a game cartridge.

    • 2). Click "Nintendo WFC Settings," then "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings." Click "Search for an Access Point." Select an open access point or a password protected point for which you have the password.

    • 3). Load your game and visit the multiplayer menu. To play against another person you will need their friend code, a specific code assigned to each Nintendo DS. Enter the code at the prompt. After finding your friend, the DS will ask if you wish to "Invite" or "Disconnect." Select "Invite."
