DIY: How to Fold Wedding Invitations
- 1). Look for the fold point if you're working with pre-made invitations. Many pre-made invitations will come with instructions on how to fold them, or a single folded invitation to use as a template. Base your folds on the template if that is the case.
- 2). Find the design or text that will be on the front of the invitations, if you're folding your own invitations or your pre-made invitations didn't come with specific folding instructions. Turn the invitation over so the front of the invitation faces down.
- 3). Align the invitation so that the front design, facing down, is on your left. Draw the top right and bottom right corners up and over to meet the top left and top right corners. Align the corners so they match up perfectly.
- 4). Lightly press down on the spine of your invitation to create a crease. Run your finger or thumbnail along the crease to set it.
- 5). Flip your invitation back over, and use a bone folder to further set the crease for a crisp, even fold. Check that your invitation lies flat and fits easily inside your envelopes.
