Your Baby Can Read As Editor-in-Chief of NewbyMom.
com, I'm going out on a limb by sharing with you about how this program has worked for my daughter.
I received this as a gift from my grandmother and thought it was just another made for TV product.
I read about it and thought it wouldn't hurt to show her the videos and read her the flash cards.
The videos are not over stimulating.
In fact, it's basically words up on the screen followed by pictures of what the word means with music intertwined.
I started these videos and flash cards around 6 months.
I can attest that beginning as early as 9-months-old my daughter was saying words she learned from the videos and at 18 months, she now reads words in books, on the videos and on flash cards without ever seeing the pictures.
People comment about her vocabulary all the time.
The program is pricey if you buy it from the TV commercial that comes on most Saturday mornings.
I never used the books that were sent with the program.
I use the videos and flash cards a couple of times a week.
Now Walmart offers the basic program for $69.
