Hair loss is classified into a type of skin disease which results in loss of hair on scalps and on the other parts of the body.
Hair loss is also known as Alopecia Areata in the medical terminology.
It is also known as baldness more commonly.
This problem is seen normally in people at the age of around 30 to 40 years but there are a few cases of teenagers also suffering from this illness.
Normally the hair lasts for about 2 to 6 years and almost 90 percent of hair are in a growing stage and do not result in the loss of hair, only the remaining 10 percent of the hair in resting stage result in hair loss.
But if a person suffers from Alopecia Areata then the white blood cells of the body attack the hair follicles by mistake and hence resulting in frequent loss.
One of the causes mentioned is stress and tension.
People suffering from this problem lose their confidence; hence there is a need for selecting a correct treatment for hair loss.
There are many medications available for avoiding hair fall.
At the same time, there are some treatments even though very few have guaranteed results.
There are a few medicines which come without prescription and can be used by you like minoxidil (Rogaine) which can be used by men and women both, while a few pills come with a prescription like Propecia for men but their result can be predicted only after about 4 to 5 months of medication.
Apart from this chemical and non natural remedies a few of the natural remedies for hair loss can also be tried like rubbing olive oil on the scalp where you fear hair loss or messaging with either uncooked egg yolk or soaked fenugreek and drinking a mixture of boiled water (1 cup) and mustard seeds (1 teaspoon) cooked for 5 minutes.
