Indians in Pakistan - Jihadi Fiction at Its Best

Based on the confessions of Ajmal Kasab, the surviving terrorist in the Mumbai attacks, and the courageous deeds of Kukka Parrey and the Ikhwan-ul -Muslimeen; Indians in Pakistan, is a fast-paced action-thriller, which explores the existence of cross border terrorism, the failure of the Pakistani state, the emotional bonding between people and the resilience of the human spirit.
It is jihadi fiction at its best.
There are many great authors of jihadi fiction like Mukul Deva who has written the fabulous Lashkar series.
However, Vivek Pereira, the best Indian author in my view, takes it one step further by churning out a tale on humanity in the face of great adversities.
He shows great insight in the current affairs of Pakistan and the progress in the War on Terror.
This racy novel can turn out to be a great film too.
Producers and Directors in india and abroad may line up for the copyrights.
However, it may cost an an enormous amount to show the action scenes - helicopters, RPGs, stinger missiles, bombers, and all.
And what about the exotic locations in Pakistan - snow-capped mountain ranges, valleys, river banks, desert areas and all.
You would need great actors to carry out the remarkable scenes from this exciting book.
It certainly is a must-have book and I strongly recommend it to all types of readers for the wide range of topics it covers.
The failings of the US administrations under President George Bush and President Barack Obama are hinted at.
Communalism, secularism, patriotism, bigotry and romance are important themes in the soul-stirring novel.
It's a far cry from Vivek's earlier book "Rose Gardens and Minefields", and is expected to become a best seller soon.
It is definitely the book of the year (even the book of the century) and must rank among the all time great novels.
You can literally smell the gunpowder and the lipstick as the book jumps from one scene to another.
Very few Indian authors or even internationally best selling authors have attempted the jihadi fiction genre.
You need to do plenty of research and have knowledge of the weaponry before attempting this unique genre.
Hopefully there will be more Indian bestsellers by writers from this country.
So, enjoy a series of evenings, snug at home, with this action thriller in your hands.
You won't want to let go, believe me.
It's indeed an interesting book in which the action never stops!!!
