Practice writing.
You need to make sure you can write a lot of articles about the same topics while still being unique and creative.
You will also want to practice writing so you can improve your skills and learn to type fast.
You want your writing skills to be good before you even take any jobs.

Practice editing.
Many people think writing is the hard part, but a lot of people don't know how to edit articles.
Always take at least a few minutes to re-read your article so you can catch misspelled words.
Spell check works, you might have accidentally spelled something like a different word so spell check didn't catch it.
Simple mistakes are often the ones that make an article poor quality.
Everybody will make some mistakes, but learn to catch and correct most of them.
It only makes you look like a better writer.

Go on freelance websites.
This is the easiest way to find jobs.
Plus, there are so many websites to choose from and most of them are completely free.
Try eLance, oDesk, iFreelance, ArticleIncome, FreelanceWriting, GoFreelance or any other one that you may find.
Try to do a few jobs and see how you like them and what response you receive.
If you are asked to re-write something, then just do it so you get paid.
Any feedback is good because at least you will have learned something you need to work on.
4.
Check on Craigslist.
Many companies post freelance jobs on Craigslist.
Sometimes they aren't for online work either.
You may be able to do the work without being in the same city as the company, but you could possibly get published in a newspaper, magazine, etc.
Published print work is really great to do to build up a reputation.
You can put it in your portfolio and send that writing sample to other companies when trying to acquire your next freelance job.
5.
Improve your skills.
You may be writing great articles and finding jobs no problem, but there is always room for improvement.
In freelance, time is money, so at least learn to speed up your writing process.
6.
Enjoy your job and your money.
Writing can be so much fun and you can make a lot of money doing freelance work.
