I found out about this campground on the Georgia State Park Web site, and I RV camped there in December 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

Campground is on a quiet lake and immaculate. Sites are very well maintained and very level. Rest rooms are older, but very clean. While the campground is back in the woods quite a ways, the roads are good. Speed bumps are a little overkill.

Pros: Quiet beautiful lake, convenient dump, clean rest rooms, well maintained sites, friendly personnel, convenient location.


Cons: Speed bumps.

Nearby attractions: Athen's historic downtown and restaurants close by in Winder.

Further comments: A Georgia State campground is almost a guarantee of quality.
