Tall wedding centerpieces can be a classy, elegant look for any table. Tall centerpieces don't have to be expensive. In fact, you can use just a few slim, tall flowers to make a tastefully simple centerpiece that won't overwhelm the table. When using tall flowers for your centerpiece, choose a vase that isn't too large or wide. When centerpieces become too big, it makes it difficult for guests to see around them, and it ruins the look of your table. - lily image by Maciej Syrek from Fotolia.com
Lilies are a beautiful flower that come in many varieties. Calla lilies are a popular wedding flower because they are interesting to look at and come in many pretty colors. Calla lilies came from Africa originally, and are more so spring and summer flowers. Although, they can be purchased in the colder months, they are a little more expensive when out of season. Stargazer lilies are another popular flower. Stargazer lilies are bright pink with lighter edged petals. Stargazer lilies are a very exotic flower, and because of their vibrant beauty, they are attention grabbing enough to stand on their own. Easter lilies are one of the most common types of lilies. Exceptionally fragrant, they bring a peaceful, pretty springtime look to your wedding table. Any of the lily flowers can be grouped in a vase or used alone or in groups of two or three for a simpler centerpiece. - gelbe rose - yellow rose image by Yvonne Baumann from Fotolia.com
Long stem roses are one of the most common types of wedding flowers, however that doesn't take away from their charm. Roses add class and beauty to any table, and they smell lovely as well. Long stem roses come in a variety of colors and can be used alone or in a bouquet for your centerpiece. Purchase a tall, thin, clear vase to display the roses in the center of each table, and it will give the room a very romantic feel. - sweet pea flowers # 2 image by susie peek-swint from Fotolia.com
Sweet peas are known for their vibrant colors and intoxicating scent. They can be used as an accent flower, or in a bunch to make a full centerpiece. Sweet peas have clusters of small bright pink or purple flowers at the top of a long stem. Place a group of them in a tall vase with a matching bow tied around the vase. Or, if you'd rather use them as an accent flower, group them around a Stargazer or Easter lily for a completely different look.
