Different people may experience different signs and symptoms of panic attacks because they react to an anxiety-provoking situation differently.
And most people who experience panic attack for the first time don't know what are the typical signs or symptoms.
Having a panic attack is very frightening, it's like going through hell and the symptoms can be confusing as well.
This article talks about some of the most common signs and symptoms of panic attacks.
Knowing these symptoms are very important not only to find out if you are suffering from panic attack, but also help you deal with the problems more effectively.
The mind is usually the first place where the symptoms may start to trigger, this is also known as the psychological symptoms.
A person suddenly has an intrusive thought, he or she suddenly feels very fearful for no apparent reason.
Some may even feel that they are going to die because the feling of fear is so great.
The fearful feeling will linger on until it overwhelms the mind and leads to panic attacks.
In reaction to the psychological symptoms, your body starts to have physical symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath and heart palpitations (pounding and rapid heartbeat).
You may even feel like you are having a heart attack.
Other physical symptoms of panic attacks are upset stomach, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, nausea, sweating, trembling and shaking.
These are the most common physical symptoms of panic attacks.
Other common signs or symptoms are known as neurological symptoms where you feel like you're having a nervous breakdown.
The symptoms include feeling like you are having a seizure, twitches, jitters or other involuntary movements.
Some may even experience internal temperature changes, either having chills or hot flashes.
Panic attacks usually peak in 10 minutes and last for 30 minutes or longer before subsiding.
It's important to know that panic attacks and all the symptoms are treatable.

If you are able to control your psychological symptoms before they become out of control, then you can prevent the physical symptoms or at least reduce the severity of them.
