Billy Bob Thornton Gets Some Company in "The Astronaut Farmer"
Sep 15, 2005 - Virginia Madsen ("Sideways") will play Billy Bob Thornton's wife in the dramatic movie, "The Astronaut Farmer," directed by Michael Polish for Warner Independent Pictures.
Thornton stars in the title role as a farmer whose big dreams of traveling through space spur him into building a rocket in his barn.
Also joining the cast of "The Astronaut Farmer" are Bruce Dern as Madsen's father and Bruce Willis as a former NASA co-worker of Thornton's.
Michael and Mark Polish wrote the script, which will be produced by Mark Polish, Paula Weinstein and Len Amato.
